6:20p UPDATE: One eastbound lane is open on McAndrews, it is flagger controlled. One westbound lane is open and also flagger controlled. Heavy congestion in the area. Here is raw media from the site.
There is still a smell of gas in the area of the work. Also, crews were working on two desperate dig sites, one on Poplar and one a bit further south on McAndrews. We will continue to update this story as the evening progresses.
3/17/22 Update: Officials say the gas leak has been repaired and the intersection of Poplar and E.McAndrews is now fully open.
