Local Search and Rescue Teams Save Seven Stranded Motorists

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue (SAR) announced they saved seven stranded motorists in the past 48 hours.

During these winter months, officials say use caution when traveling in higher elevations and off of improved roads.

The seven separate motorists were able to call and be rescued, but according to authorities, it is just a matter of time when someone will not be able to call for help and it may cost them their life.

If you get stuck, call 911. Do not call a family member or friend as it may be the ONLY chance for Search and Rescue personnel to get your approximate location and come save you.
