Ashland Structure Fire Brings Emergency Response to Walker Avenue

ASHLAND, Ore. (Jul. 22, 2026) — Firefighters and law enforcement officers responded Wednesday to a structure fire near the intersection of Walker Avenue and Ashland Street in Ashland.

Incident commanders said the fire has been contained, but crews remain on scene conducting mop-up operations to ensure the fire is fully extinguished and no hot spots remain.

Officials are asking residents and motorists to avoid the area for at least the next two hours to allow firefighters to safely complete their work. No additional notifications are expected regarding the incident.

Authorities have not released information about the cause of the fire, whether anyone was injured, or the extent of damage to the structure.

Officials thanked fire and police personnel for their rapid response, which helped bring the incident under control quickly.
