CENTRAL POINT, Ore. (Jun. 15, 2026) — Three suspects were taken into custody Monday after a reckless driving incident that began in north Medford and ended with a crash and foot pursuit in Central Point, according to authorities.
The incident began when officers received reports of a gray Honda Civic being driven recklessly in the north end of Medford. Medford police officers quickly responded to the area and located the vehicle, which then traveled northbound on North Pacific Highway.
During the pursuit, the Honda Civic struck uninvolved vehicles and other materials, police said.
Officers from the Central Point Police Department deployed spike strips as the vehicle entered the city limits. The spike strips successfully disabled the Honda, which became inoperable near the intersection of Laurel Street and Third Street.
Authorities said the occupants abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. Officers from both the Medford Police Department and Central Point Police Department established a perimeter in the area and searched for the suspects.
Police later confirmed that three individuals had been taken into custody.
No information regarding injuries, the identities of those arrested or the charges they may face was immediately released. The incident remains under investigation.
