MEDFORD, Ore. (May. 30, 2026) — A Northern California-based commercial real estate developer has unveiled plans for its first project in Medford, proposing a new retail and restaurant development in the city’s northeast business corridor.
LRE & Co. recently announced plans for a commercial project in the Tower Business Park near the intersection of Crater Lake Highway (Highway 62), Owen Drive and Crater Lake Avenue. The proposal marks the company’s continued expansion into Oregon after establishing a presence beyond its traditional Northern California market.
According to project plans, the development would include approximately 10,000 square feet of commercial space spread across two buildings. A 4,000-square-foot quick-service restaurant with a drive-through is planned alongside a 6,000-square-foot multi-tenant retail building that would also include a drive-through component.

The project is designed with approximately 98 parking spaces, two drive-through facilities and pedestrian-oriented features throughout the site. Developers said the location along Crater Lake Highway was selected to take advantage of significant traffic volumes while remaining compatible with neighboring businesses in the business park.
The proposal represents a change from previous development plans for the parcel. Earlier 2023 concepts for the site called for a fuel station and convenience store. If approved, the new commercial project would replace those plans.
LRE & Co. is currently moving through the City of Medford’s planning process, including Site Plan Review by the Medford Site Plan and Architectural Commission. The company has not announced any tenants for either building, and no construction timeline has been released.
Officials said additional details, including tenant announcements and construction schedules, are expected as the project advances through the city’s review and approval process. Medford Alert News reached out to the company further additional details, and are awaiting a response at this time.
The development comes as northeast Medford continues to see commercial growth along the Highway 62 corridor, an area that serves as a major transportation route connecting the northeast side with regional destinations and the Rogue Valley’s expanding business and residential developments.
