Couples Can Marry Free at Medford Municipal Court During June

MEDFORD, Ore. (May. 20, 2026) — The Medford Municipal Court will waive all civil wedding ceremony fees throughout June as part of a “Wedding Month” celebration, city officials announced.

June has long been associated with weddings and marriage traditions, and officials said the month also carries significance within the legal community because of landmark court decisions recognizing marriage rights and equality.

The announcement comes months after Municipal Court Judge Virginia Greer officiated the court’s first wedding ceremony in several decades in December 2025, restoring a service that had been absent from court operations for years.

Civil ceremonies will be conducted by appointment at Medford City Hall. Couples must first obtain a valid Oregon marriage license through the appropriate county office before their ceremony date.

Court officials said appointments are limited and will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Additional information and appointment requests are available by contacting the court at (541) 774-2040 or by email at court@cityofmedford.org. Online appointment requests are also available through the City of Medford website.
