Prospect Man Jailed on Five Felony Child Sex Abuse Charges

PROSPECT, Ore. (Apr. 15, 2026) — A Prospect man was arrested Wednesday on multiple child sex crime charges following an investigation by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives with the sheriff’s office Special Victims Unit arrested Mickey Lee Ryan Jr., 35, just before 10 a.m. at a trailer park in the 400 block of Mill Creek Drive, authorities said. The arrest was made without incident.

Ryan faces five felony charges, including one count of first-degree rape, two counts of first-degree sodomy and two counts of first-degree sexual abuse. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail.

Investigators said caseworkers with the Oregon Department of Human Services Child Welfare division from Jackson and Josephine counties assisted in the arrest.

The case remains under investigation, and no additional information was immediately available.


All suspects are believed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law
