
ASHLAND, Ore. (APR. 1, 2026) — Northbound lanes of Interstate 5 were closed Wednesday after an overturned semi-truck blocked traffic about 7 miles south of Ashland, authorities said.
The crash occurred near milepost 8.5, where the truck came to rest across all northbound lanes, forcing a full closure of the roadway.
Officials urged motorists to use caution in the area and expect significant delays. Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes or postpone travel until the scene is cleared.
No immediate information was available regarding injuries or what caused the crash. Authorities have not provided an estimated time for reopening the highway.
