Former Grants Pass High School Staff Member Arrested on Allegations Involving Minor

GRANTS PASS, Ore. (Mar. 26, 2026) — A former staff member at Grants Pass High School has been arrested on allegations of inappropriate conduct involving a minor, according to school district officials.

In a message to families, Grants Pass School District 7 Superintendent Tim Sweeney said the district was notified by the Grants Pass Police Department of the arrest of Terry Green, a former employee at the high school.

Sweeney said that once the district became aware of the allegation and ongoing investigation, Green was immediately placed on leave and escorted off district property. His employment with the district has since ended.

“Student safety and well-being are a priority,” Sweeney said in the statement, adding that the district is fully cooperating with police as the investigation continues.

District officials noted that all employees are required to pass criminal background checks conducted by the state of Oregon prior to being hired.

The Grants Pass Police Department is expected to release additional details about the investigation, and district leaders encouraged parents to speak with their children about any questions or concerns they may have.

Authorities are asking anyone with information related to the case to contact the Grants Pass Police Department at 541-450-6260. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the Safe Oregon Tip Line by calling or texting 844-472-3367.
