
PROVOLT, Ore. (Mar. 15, 2026) — A crash has closed both directions of Oregon Route 238 west of Jacksonville, according to transportation officials.
The crash occurred near milepost 12 on the highway, about two miles west of Provolt, Oregon and approximately 20 miles west of Jacksonville, Oregon.
Authorities said the crash has shut down all eastbound and westbound lanes in the area. Motorists are being advised to avoid the stretch of highway and use alternate routes while crews respond and work to clear the scene.
Officials have not yet released information on injuries, the number of vehicles involved, or when the roadway is expected to reopen.
Updates are expected from the Oregon Department of Transportation as the response continues.
UPDATE: The highway has been fully reopened.
