MEDFORD, Ore. (Feb. 4, 2026) — Asante opened its new Gastroenterology clinic Monday in Medford following its acquisition of Gastroenterology Consultants, PC, a move officials say will ensure long-term sustainability and expanded access to digestive health care across southern Oregon.
The former practice’s three physicians and five advanced practice providers will continue seeing patients at the same location and are now Asante employees. The health system said future recruitment efforts are planned to expand services that remain in high demand in the region.
“We are excited about what today represents for patients in the Rogue Valley. By joining a local, well-respected organization, we are expanding access for care and improving resources for recruitment, to support the needs of patients,” said Dr. Adam Mougey of Asante Gastroenterology.
Asante Gastroenterology provides services ranging from colonoscopies to treatment of digestive and liver conditions, as well as management of chronic gastrointestinal disorders. Physicians also provide inpatient care at Rogue Regional Medical Center and help coordinate patient transfers across Asante’s nine-county service area.
“This new Asante Physician Partners clinic represents strong collaboration and partnership to ensure sustainable local health care. We are excited that this service will not only stay; but grow in our community,” said Angie Simonson, Asante’s senior vice president and chief operating officer.
The clinic is located at 2860 Creekside Circle, off Barnett Road and across from Rogue Regional Medical Center. It operates as part of Asante Physician Partners, the system’s medical group.
Asante is a locally owned, not-for-profit health system with about 6,000 employees serving nearly 600,000 people across a nine-county region of southern Oregon and northern California. Its facilities include Ashland Community Hospital, Rogue Regional Medical Center in Medford, Three Rivers Medical Center in Grants Pass and additional care sites throughout the region.
