(Jan. 12, 2026)— The Jackson County Fair has announced its official theme for the 2026 fair: “Stars, Stripes & Summer Nights,” a patriotic tribute marking the 250th anniversary of the United States while celebrating the traditions that bring the local community together each summer.
Fair officials said the 2026 event will serve as both a celebration and a reflection, highlighting America’s history alongside the shared values found at the local level — agriculture, youth involvement, live entertainment, food and family-friendly fun.
In announcing the theme, organizers said the fair will emphasize what patriotism looks like close to home: neighbors gathering under the summer sky, children showing livestock, families making memories and generations coming together for a time-honored community tradition.
“Stars, Stripes & Summer Nights” was selected to capture the spirit of the fair experience — pride in the past, excitement for the future and the magic of summer evenings spent together. Plans for the 2026 fair include red, white and blue celebrations alongside continued recognition of agriculture, youth programs and local traditions.
The tagline was chosen through a community contest, with Laney Halstead selected as the official winner following a random drawing among duplicate entries. Fair officials thanked community members for their creativity and enthusiasm in helping shape the 2026 theme.
