GOLD HILL, Ore. (Jan. 5, 2026) — A section of OR-234, also known as Second Street, was closed in the city of Gold Hill on Tuesday after a tree fell across the roadway, bringing down power lines, officials said.
The closure is at OR-99 near milepost 1.87, where utility crews are working to repair the downed lines and clear the debris. No injuries were immediately reported.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes while crews complete repairs. Officials did not provide an estimate for when the road will reopen.
