MEDFORD, Ore. (Dec 14, 2025) — Power outages affecting thousands of customers across Southern Oregon were reported early Sunday morning, impacting parts of Medford, Jacksonville and surrounding rural areas, according to utility officials.

As of Sunday, two outages were reported, affecting approximately 4,417 customers in ZIP codes 97502, 97501 and 97530. The outages were first reported at about 5:28 a.m., with crews arriving on scene shortly thereafter.

The outages are having a significant impact on Jacksonville, areas of southwest and northwest Medford, as well as rural west Central Point. Officials said the cause was attributed to multiple outages occurring in the area, though additional details were not immediately available.

Utility officials estimate power will be restored by late morning or early afternoon. Crews remain on site working to safely restore service as quickly as possible.

Customers are encouraged to report outages and avoid downed power lines while restoration efforts continue.
