MEDFORD, Ore. (Dec 2, 2025)— As Giving Tuesday arrives, we at Medford Alert News want to share why your support matters to the work we do for the Rogue Valley.
Since we launched in 2011, we’ve been committed to providing timely, trustworthy local coverage. During the 2020 Almeda Fire, we remained live for more than 13 straight-uninterrupted hours, so our community could follow developments minute by minute. Moments like that underscore why strong, independent local reporting matters — it keeps people informed, connected, and able to make decisions when it counts most.

Today, we’re inviting those who value our work to consider supporting our nonprofit newsroom. Your donation directly powers the coverage we provide and helps us remain accessible to everyone.
You can make a tax-deductible contribution here.
Medford Alert News is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN: 39-3076301)
Why local, independent journalism matters:
• It keeps reporting rooted in the community — told by people who live here and understand the Rogue Valley.
• It strengthens public awareness by focusing on issues that directly affect residents.
• It improves community safety by delivering timely, accurate updates during fast-moving events.
• It ensures all residents — not just those who can pay — have access to vital information.
Our dedication to the Southern Oregon runs deep. After the devastating Labor Day wildfires, we launched a nonstop fundraiser for those affected, raising more than $35,000 for ACCESS, to support fire survivors right here at home. During the height of the COVID-19 lockdowns, we offered free advertising through our #RogueForward series to support struggling local restaurants.

We’re locally founded, locally operated, and committed to serving this community. Our journalism is free to all, but it’s powered by those who choose to give.
If our work has helped you stay informed or connected, we hope you’ll join others in our community and support Medford Alert News this Giving Tuesday.
