

MEDFORD, Ore. (Nov 17, 2025) — A crash in the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 near Exit 27 in South Medford is causing significant delays Monday evening, with traffic backing up roughly two miles, officials reported.
The crash, located at milepost 27.68, was first reported shortly before 5:20 p.m. Traffic had slowed to the point of backing up to the Medford Viaduct, according to early updates.
Drivers are being advised to expect delays or use an alternate route. Transportation officials are urging motorists to use caution and watch for workers in the roadway as crews respond to and clear the scene.
No immediate information about injuries or what caused the crash was available.
