Central Point Man Arrested in Alleged Sexual Abuse of 13-Year-Old in East Medford Hills

MEDFORD, Ore. (Nov 12, 2025) — Deputies with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Central Point man late Monday night after responding to a report of a 13-year-old girl being sexually abused in a parked truck east of Medford in the hillsides.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies were called around 11:54 p.m. on November 11 to the 6600 block of Hillcrest Road. When they arrived, they saw a truck matching the description of the suspect vehicle speeding away on McAndrews Road.

Deputies and Medford Police officers stopped the truck and arrested the driver, identified as 22-year-old Juan Jose Ramos-Arguella of Central Point. He was booked into the Jackson County Jail on charges of first-degree sexual abuse, driving under the influence of intoxicants – marijuana, and unlawful delivery of a marijuana item, officials said.

Investigators said Ramos-Arguella met the 13-year-old victim through the social media app Snapchat. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office detectives are continuing the investigation in coordination with the Oregon Department of Human Services, Child Welfare Division.

Authorities said no additional information is being released at this time.


All suspects are believed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law
