Medford Rogues President Accepts Role with Oakland Athletics

Medford, Oregon- The Medford Rogues Baseball Club announced Monday that team president and co-owner Dave May has accepted a position with the Oakland Athletics in Mesa, Ariz.

May will serve as operations and sales manager for the Athletics’ Hohokam Park spring training facility beginning in October.

“As hard as it is to leave my hometown of Medford, I’m excited for the opportunity to grow as a baseball executive,” May said.

Despite his new role, May will continue in his ownership position with the Rogues and will remain involved with season ticket holders, business partners and host families while working remotely.

“This decision would have been more difficult if we didn’t have Jeff Weiss as our general manager,” May said. “In my opinion, he is the best general manager not only on the West Coast but would argue in the country.”
