Near Eagle Point, Oregon- Prospect man died early Tuesday after his vehicle rolled on Highway 62 in Jackson County, according to Oregon State Police.
The crash was reported at 12:24 a.m. on Aug. 12 near milepost 32. A preliminary investigation found that a westbound Chevrolet Suburban driven by Daniel Charles Forgey, 28, left the roadway for unknown reasons, struck a guardrail and rolled. Forgey, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
The highway remained open during the investigation. Oregon State Police were assisted by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Jackson County Fire District 4 and Mercy Flights.
