Jacksonville, Oregon- A crash has closed all lanes of Oregon Highway 238 in both directions near milepost 32.67, east of Jacksonville, state transportation officials said Monday.
The crash was first reported around 1:23 p.m., prompting a full closure of the highway in both the eastbound and westbound directions. Motorists are being directed to follow a detour, though specific alternate routes were not immediately provided.
The Oregon Department of Transportation did not release details about the number of vehicles involved or whether there were any injuries. Emergency crews responded to the scene, and officials are working to clear the roadway as soon as possible.
Medford Alert is working to gather additional confirmed information.
Drivers in the area should expect delays and avoid the route if possible. No estimated time for reopening was available.
UPDATE: The highway has now been reopened in the impacted area. Use caution as congestion is still likely until previously backed-up traffic clears.
