Medford, Oregon- A 19-year-old Medford man was arrested Saturday after investigators say he sold marijuana to middle school-aged children in the Rogue Valley Mall parking lots, authorities said.
Jake Eugene Cunningham faces charges of unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful delivery of marijuana, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) announced Monday.
Detectives with the Illegal Marijuana Enforcement Team (IMET) observed Cunningham allegedly selling cannabis to juveniles around 3:11 p.m. on May 31. Investigators launched the case after receiving reports that Cunningham was distributing marijuana and illicit “Dab” vape pens to children as young as 11.
Authorities say Cunningham used Instagram and Snapchat to arrange drug deals with the minors, prompting law enforcement to urge parents to closely monitor their children’s social media use.
The case remains under investigation. Officials encourage anyone with information about illegal marijuana activity to contact the IMET tip line at (541) 774-8311 or email IMETtips@jacksoncountyor.gov.
No additional details have been released.

All suspects are believed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law
