Four Arrested, Three Sought After Burglary Reported in Cave Junction

Cave Junction, Oregon- Four people were arrested Saturday morning after Josephine County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported burglary in progress on the 3800 block of Holland Loop Road, authorities said.

Deputies were dispatched to the scene at approximately 8:43 a.m. on May 31. Before law enforcement arrived, three males and two females fled the property, officials said. Two of the fleeing individuals left in a white Toyota pickup truck.

Despite assistance from the Oregon State Police, efforts to locate the vehicle were unsuccessful.

Of the three suspects who fled on foot, two were apprehended. Deputies also arrested two individuals who remained at the scene. In total, four of the seven individuals involved were taken into custody and lodged in jail. Charges include trespass, theft and burglary.

Authorities said two of the three remaining suspects have been identified. The investigation remains ongoing, and no further details have been released.
