Medford, Oregon- The City of Medford, in coordination with Jackson County Emergency Management, will conduct a test of the county’s new emergency notification system, Jackson Alerts, on Thursday, May 15, at 10 a.m. The test will include alerts sent to every evacuation zone in the county.
Jackson County launched Jackson Alerts in March 2025, replacing the previous Citizen Alert platform. The upgraded system is designed to provide faster, more efficient messaging during emergencies such as severe weather, evacuations, and missing person incidents. Alerts are delivered via phone calls, text messages, and emails.
Residents who were previously registered with Citizen Alert have been automatically transitioned to the new system. New users can sign up for alerts at JacksonAlerts.org.
For help or more information, residents can contact Jackson County Emergency Management at alert@jacksoncountyor.gov or call 541-774-6790.
