Johnny B’s Closes After 25+ Years as Downtown Medford Music Staple

Johnny B’s Downtown Medford

Medford, Oregon– After more than 25 years of hosting live music and entertainment, Johnny B’s in downtown Medford has closed its doors for good.

The popular venue, located on the ground floor of the historic Woolworth Building, has been a central part of the local music scene, attracting both local and touring artists.

Johnny B’s was known for its diverse programming, offering performances across multiple genres and art forms. Musicians and music lovers gathered nightly to enjoy live shows, creating a vibrant atmosphere that supported both emerging and established talent.

The venue’s closure marks the end of an era as a hub for live music and community events.

“We’re officially closed and want to thank everyone for their support over the years,” the venue said in a farewell statement. “A lot of talent graced our stage, and you all helped create great memories. Keep supporting local art! We’ll see y’all at the shows.”

Johnny B’s maintained a reputation for inclusivity, welcoming performers from all backgrounds and genres. The venue operated as a 21-and-over bar and made connections simple through direct artist outreach. Its commitment to providing a stage for diverse talent helped solidify its place as a key part of the Southern Oregon arts community.

There is no information on what the soon-to-be vacated space may become. Medford Alert has reached out to Johnny B’s and are awaiting their response. We will continue to monitor this development and provide updates as they become available.
