RVTD to Launch New Central Point “Crosstown” Route

RVTD Central Point Route 41

Central Point, Oregon- Rogue Valley Transportation District (RVTD) has announced the launch of a new bus route, Route 41, beginning Monday, March 17, 2025. The new route will serve previously unserved neighborhoods in Central Point, improving access to schools, hospitals, shopping centers, and employment hubs.

Route 41 will begin at the Medford Airport and travel along Table Rock Road, providing service to the Hamrick Neighborhood and Don Jones Park. The route will then cross into west Central Point, traveling on Freeman Road and Beall Lane before turning north on Highway 99 to Providence Hospital. From there, it will continue to the Twin Creeks Neighborhood, with stops at Twin Creeks Park, Scenic Avenue, and Crater High School. The route will then loop back east to the Medford Airport.

Service will operate Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with buses running on an hourly schedule. The new route will provide important connections to RVTD’s existing Route 40 and Route 61, enhancing access to the broader transit network.

To mark the launch, RVTD will host a Route 41 Celebration at the Twin Creeks Park Band Shell on Friday, March 21, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The event will feature RVTD’s Travel Training team, who will be available to assist with trip planning and answer questions about the new service.

As a special promotion, Route 41 will be free to ride on March 21, giving the community an opportunity to explore the new service.
