Grants Pass Police Seek Help in Locating Missing Autistic Man

Grants Pass, Oregon- Authorities are searching for a missing adult who was last seen on Thursday, March 5, 2025. The Grants Pass Police Department received a report at 6:55 p.m. regarding the disappearance of Jayke A. Critchfield from the 400 block of SE M St.

According to family members, Critchfield, who is autistic and has other mental health conditions, left his residence within 90 minutes of the call. He is known to visit parks and comic bookstores in the city. A search of these locations did not lead to his whereabouts.

Critchfield is described as a white male, 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighing approximately 180 pounds, with wavy brown hair. He wears glasses, but his clothing description is unknown. Family members stated he is non-violent and walks slowly.

Authorities are asking anyone with information on his location to contact the Grants Pass Police Department at 541-450-6260.


UPDATE: Authorities say Jayke has been located and returned to his family.
