Medford, Oregon- After more than a decade of restoration, downtown Medford’s historic Holly Theatre is set to reopen with performances on Thursday, March 13, and Friday, March 14. The two-day event marks a significant milestone for the theater, which has historically been a centerpiece of local cultural in downtown Medford.
The opening night on March 13 will feature a performance by The Piano Guys. Since their debut in 2011, the group has released 13 albums, achieving six No. 1 debuts on Billboard’s Top Classical Albums chart. Their music has reached over two billion global streams, and their YouTube videos have garnered more than two billion views. The group maintains nearly two million monthly listeners on Spotify and has sold out concerts worldwide. They have appeared on major television programs, including CBS Sunday Morning, TODAY Show, Good Morning America, and The Tonight Show. A gala opening party for select patrons will precede the concert, which begins at 8:00 p.m.
On March 14, Jim Belushi and The Sacred Hearts will take the stage. Belushi, a long-time honorary Holly Theatre co-chair, previously performed at the venue during a benefit concert for its restoration nearly a decade ago. The Sacred Hearts, known for their Chicago-style rhythm and blues, serve as the official house band for the House of Blues venues. The band, which has performed nationwide at concerts, benefits, and corporate events for more than 18 years, will be preceded by local band Duke Street. The concert is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets for both performances will be available to Holly Theatre members online beginning Wednesday, February 19. General public sales will open on Wednesday, February 26.
Organizers say the reopening marks a significant step for the Holly Theatre, restoring its role as a major hub for arts and live entertainment in the downtown district.
