Multnomah Falls, Oregon- A massive multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 84 has led to the closure of the westbound lanes near Multnomah Falls. According to deputies, the pileup involves more than 100 cars, trucks, and semi-trucks.
An SUV caught fire during the incident, but all occupants were able to exit the vehicle safely. Emergency responders are going car by car to assess the situation.
Authorities have confirmed reports of injuries, though the exact number remains unknown. The crash occurred under whiteout conditions, contributing to hazardous driving.
Westbound I-84 remains closed approximately three miles west of Multnomah Falls as crews continue response efforts. Officials have not provided an estimated timeline for reopening.
