The incident, reported at approximately 7:50 a.m., involved deputies from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) and firefighters from Jackson County Fire District 3.
According to the JCSO, one student sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local Medford area hospital for treatment. No other injuries were reported among the bus’s occupants.
Preliminary investigations indicate that dense fog and icy road conditions were significant factors in the crash. Authorities have not released further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Local officials are reminding residents to exercise caution while driving during winter months. Reduced visibility caused by fog, combined with icy road surfaces, poses heightened risks to motorists.
