Ice and Fog Leads to Six Morning Crashes on Stretch of Table Rock Road

Central Point, Oregon- The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) responded to six motor vehicle crashes, including three rollovers, early this morning on Table Rock Road. The incidents occurred before 9 a.m. and were attributed to icy conditions and dense fog that have significantly reduced visibility across the Rogue Valley.

Jackson County Roads crews have been working to mitigate the hazards, diverting traffic around crash sites and spreading sand on icy sections of roads. The most affected area was near the 90-degree corner of Table Rock Road, located south of Wheeler Road and west of Pumice Lane.

Emergency responders, including Jackson County Fire District 3 and Mercy Flights Inc., transported multiple individuals to local hospitals. No updates on the conditions of the injured have been released.

Officials are urging drivers to exercise extreme caution and reduce speeds when traveling through the area. With icy conditions widespread across the county, authorities are advising the public to allow extra time for travel and remain vigilant on the roads.

Jackson County Roads teams are continuing efforts to improve road safety, but drivers are reminded to stay alert and prioritize safety during these hazardous conditions.
