
Eagle Point, Oregon- Camden Murray, an Eagle Point, 16-year-old reported missing earlier this week, has been found deceased. The search was ended today by Eagle Point Police and Jackson County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue personnel. While the announcement of his death was made by Rogue Valley Reign, a local youth hockey club where Murray was a member.
“It is with extremely heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of one of our own. Camden, you will forever be loved and missed by your hockey family. Sticks out for #23” the hockey club stated earlier today.
The Eagle Point Police Department confirmed the discovery in a Facebook post, stating, “Camden has been located.” The department expressed gratitude to the community for their assistance during the search.
Murray was initially reported missing on Thursday. Police shared a description of him, noting that he was 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighed 160 pounds, and had brown hair and eyes. He was last seen wearing a hoodie and baggy pants. Authorities believed he was on foot in the Eagle Point area and sought public help in locating him.
Teams from Jackson County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue weee activated and assisted in looking for Murray.
Details surrounding the circumstances of Murray’s death have not been released, but foul play is not suspected. The community is mourning the loss of the young athlete, and have offered condolences to his family.
