Wind Advisory Issued for Southern Rogue Valley

Medford, Oregon- A wind advisory has been issued for parts of the southern Rogue Valley, including Ashland, Phoenix, Talent, and areas along Interstate 5 south of Medford. The advisory will be in effect from 10 p.m. tonight until 4 p.m. PST on Wednesday.

The National Weather Service (NWS) forecasts south winds of 20 to 30 mph, with gusts reaching up to 45 mph. Residents are advised to secure outdoor objects, as gusty winds may blow around unsecured items and could lead to minor damage, including downed tree limbs. These conditions may also result in isolated power outages.

Drivers, particularly those with high-profile vehicles, are urged to use extra caution on roadways, as strong winds may create hazardous conditions.

The NWS advises residents and travelers in the affected areas to remain alert and prepare for potential disruptions through Wednesday afternoon.
