Heat Advisory Issued for Southern Oregon and Northern California

HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM NOON TO 10PM FRIDAY.

WHAT… High temperatures of 100 to 105 will be around 20 degrees above normal.

WHERE…In California, Western Siskiyou County.

In Oregon, Central Douglas County, Eastern Curry County and Josephine County, Jackson County, and South Central Oregon Coast.

This includes the lower Klamath, Rogue, Illinois, Umpqua, upper Coquille, and Camas Valleys.

This includes the cities of Somes Bar, Happy Camp, Ashland, Medford, Grants Pass, Cave Junction, Roseburg, Agness, and Powers.

WHEN… From noon to 10 PM Friday.

IMPACTS…Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
