Five Injured After Hellgate Jetboat Collision on Rogue River

Josephine County, Oregon- Earlier today, at 12:39 p.m., emergency services received a report of a boat collision on the Rogue River at Two Bit Riffle, approximately two miles downriver from Robertson Bridge. The incident involved a private jet boat and a tour boat operated by Hellgate Jetboat Excursions.

Following the collision, injured parties were transported by boat to the Hellgate River Lodge, where they were evaluated by medical personnel. The Josephine County Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit, Oregon State Police, American Medical Response, Rural Metro Fire, and Grants Pass Fire Rescue responded to the scene.

Five individuals were transported by ground ambulances to a nearby hospital. Their conditions are currently unknown. The private jet boat sank, and boaters in the area are advised to navigate with caution.
