Shooting Incident in Grants Pass Leaves One Dead

Grants Pass, Oregon– On the evening of July 19, 2024, at approximately 9:19 PM, multiple emergency calls reported a shooting in the 1400 block of Rogue River Highway. Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement personnel discovered a male victim in the parking lot of a nearby apartment complex.

Grants Pass Police were joined by Oregon State Troopers and Josephine County Sheriff Deputies. They provided immediate medical care to the gunshot victim, who was identified as Jose Regalado, a 24-year-old resident of Grants Pass. Despite the efforts of Grants Pass Fire/Rescue and AMR paramedics, Regalado succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Grants Pass Police Detectives have taken over the investigation with support from the Oregon State Police (OSP) major crimes team, the Josephine County District Attorney’s Office, and the Josephine County Medical Examiner.
