Woman Charged with Attempted Murder After Grants Pass Shooting

Grants Pass, Oregon — On June 30, 2024, at approximately 7:52 PM, Grants Pass Police Officers and an Oregon State Police (OSP) State Trooper responded to a shots fired call in the 2500 block of New Hope Road. Multiple rounds were fired at an occupied car, but no injuries were reported.

The investigation, led by the Grants Pass Major Crime Unit Detectives, revealed that the shooting stemmed from a civil dispute between a resident at the address and one of the victims. The suspect, identified as 34-year-old Netacha Nance, allegedly fired several rounds from a pistol at the car, which was occupied by two adults. The car sustained damage exceeding $1,000.

Nance was arrested on two counts of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree. Additional charges, including Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Menacing, Reckless Endangering, and Criminal Mischief in the First Degree, will be referred to the Josephine County District Attorney’s Office.
