One Dead, Two Seriously Injured in Central Point Domestic Stabbing

Central Point, Oregon– On June 8, 2024, at approximately 04:26 am, Central Point Police were dispatched to the 2200 block of New Haven Drive following reports of a domestic dispute. The altercation escalated quickly, resulting in three adults sustaining stabbing and assault injuries.

The victims, all adults, were transported to a Medford area hospital by Mercy Flights Ambulance. Regrettably, one male victim succumbed to his injuries. The other two victims, a male and a female, are currently undergoing treatment for serious and potentially life-threatening injuries.

Central Point authorities have taken one adult male into custody in connection with the incident. However, officials stress that there is no ongoing threat to public safety at this time.

In response to the severity of the situation, members of the Jackson County Major Assault and Death Investigation Unit have joined forces with Central Point detectives to conduct a thorough investigation. Additionally, the Oregon State Police Forensic Unit is providing support in the forensic analysis.

Given the sensitive nature of the case, authorities have decided to withhold the release of names and further details at this juncture.
