No Injuries Reported After Two-Alarm Fire at Boise Cascade Plant

Medford, Oregon- Jackson County Fire District 3 (JCFD3) and Medford Fire Department swiftly responded to reports of a structure fire at Boise Cascade Plywood located at 3285 N. Pacific Hwy. in northwest Medford yesterday. The incident prompted a Second Alarm response, due to the size of the building and its contents.

Upon arrival, crews found sprinklers within the facility already activated, effectively suppressing the majority of the fire. All occupants were safely evacuated.

While there was minor extension of the fire onto the roof through the vent cap, JCFD3 Truck 20 utilized aerial suppression techniques, aided by a tethered drone (Fotokite), to contain the blaze.

Officials say the sprinkler system within the facility played a crucial role in limiting the spread of the fire, supported by both Boise Cascade personnel and responding fire crews. No additional information was provided at this time.
