South Ashland Area Power Outage Impacting Nearly 1700 Customers

Ashland, Oregon- A power outage in the south Ashland area has resulted in traffic signals failures, prompting authorities to advise caution and patience from motorists. 

With signals rendered dark, drivers are reminded to treat intersections as four-way stops until power is restored. 

The outage, affecting approximately 1676 customers as of 11:40a., has led to potential delays in the affected regions. The outage was first reported shortly before 11:11a this morning.

Authorities urge residents to exercise caution and adhere to traffic safety guidelines until normal operations resume.

Pacific Power has crews on scene investigating the outage. The believed cause of the outage is listed as a “substation problem”. Estimated time for full service restoration is before 2:30p today.
