Two Dead After Single-Vehicle Crash in Josephine County

Josephine County, Oregon– Oregon State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Monday, April 8, 2024, at 6:05 p.m. The incident occurred on Hwy 260, near milepost 20, in Josephine County.

According to the preliminary investigation, an eastbound Dodge Ram 2500, driven by David Scott Anderson (39) of Wilderville, veered off the roadway for reasons yet to be determined.

The vehicle collided with trees and overturned. Tragically, both occupants of the Dodge, Anderson, and passenger Shelby Mckenzie Spliethof (28) of Wilderville, were pronounced deceased at the scene.

The highway experienced disruptions for approximately three hours as authorities conducted their on-scene investigation.

No additional information was released by officials at this time.
