Medford, Oregon- At approximately 1:45 a.m. today, the Medford Fire Department units responded to reports of a structure fire in the vicinity of Gene Cameron Way and Cedar Links Drive in northeast Medford.
Upon arrival, firefighting crews were met with a fully engulfed shed, with flames rapidly spreading to surrounding structures. Officials say the fire damaged a shed and adjacent properties, including fences and landscaping features. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries as a result of the incident.
The presence of propane tanks near the shed exacerbated the situation, contributing to the intensity of the flames. Despite this challenge, firefighters managed to contain the fire, preventing its escalation to nearby homes.
Investigations into the cause of the fire revealed that it was likely ignited by wood construction materials coming into contact with a hot exhaust system. The incident has been deemed accidental following thorough assessment by authorities.
No additional information was released at this time.
