Metro Fire Departments Battle Morning 3-Alarm Fire in Jacksonville

Jacksonville, Oregon, At approximately 1:29 a.m. this morning, emergency responders from multiple agencies rushed to the scene of a reported structure fire on 9th Street in Jacksonville. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO), Medford Fire Department (MFD), Jacksonville Fire Department (JVFD), and Jackson County Fire District 3 (JCFD3) units mobilized to tackle the escalating incident.

As the blaze quickly intensified, several nearby homes were evacuated as a precautionary measure. The severity of the situation prompted authorities to upgrade the incident to a third-alarm, indicating the extensive resources required to combat the fire. Upon arrival, law enforcement units described the house as “fully engulfed” by flames, illustrating the gravity of the situation.

Fortunately, there have been no reported injuries at this time. However, the intensity of the fire necessitated an ongoing presence of several fire units on the scene. As of 6:00 a.m., efforts to mop up and secure the area continue, with responders working to investigate the incident.

5:00p Update: Oregon State Fire Marshals Office has crews on scene investigating the incident. One house, and three outbuildings were damaged or fully destroyed. Three vehicles were also damaged or fully destroyed.
