Police Investigate Deaths of Two Individuals at Charles Point Apartment Complex

Medford, Oregon – At approximately 9:27 p.m. on Thursday, February 22nd, Medford Police (MPD) responded to reports of two deceased individuals at the 2400 block of Charles Point Apartment Complex. Upon arrival, authorities discovered the bodies. While details remain unconfirmed at this time, a preliminary witness report suggests the victims possibly suffered gunshot wounds. However, at this time, there is not believed to be any threat to the community.

A nearby resident told Medford Alert that heavy police presence was observed along Highgate Street, near one of the many complex’s three-story buildings, as investigators cordoned off the area for examination. Medford Fire Department (MFD) and Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) personnel were also deployed to assist in the ongoing investigation.

This incident is a developing situation, with authorities yet to release further information regarding the circumstances surrounding the event.

This incident comes just a couple months after a previous deadly shooting at the same complex.

1:05p Update: A Medford Police spokesperson has confirmed that they are currently still investigating the two deaths at Charles Point. “There is no one outstanding and there is no public concern” according to Medford Police. No additional details are expected at this time due to the sensitivity of the incident and investigation.
