High Wind Watch Issued for Southern Rogue Valley

HIGH WIND WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON.

WHAT…South winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 65 mph possible.

WHERE…Southern parts of the Rogue Valley including Talent and Ashland along I-5. The Shasta Valley in Central Siskiyou County, including Weed and Interstate 5 between Grenada and Mount Shasta. The Klamath Valley including Klamath Falls, Chiloquin, Keno, Merrill, and Bonanza. This includes portions of Highways 97, 140 and 395.

WHEN…From late Tuesday night through Wednesday afternoon.

IMPACTS…Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are possible. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS…The strongest winds are expected late Wednesday morning through the afternoon.
