Winter Weather Related Area Road Information

Here is the latest information on area road and highway closures and conditions as a winter storm works through the region. This list will be updated as information changes.


UPDATE: The High Cascade passes near Diamond Lake and Crater Lake have reopened after an overnight closure. This includes OR 62 from Union Creek to the Crater Lake National Park west boundary, OR 230 from Union Creek to the intersection with OR 138E (Diamond Lake Junction), OR 138E between OR 230 and U.S. 97. While the roads are open, travel may still be difficult with changing weather conditions. If you choose to travel, be prepared for chain restrictions and watch for snow plows and workers in the area. Carry emergency supplies.


OR-62, MP 57 – 65.45: Crater Lake Highway (OR-62), is closed just north of Union Creek due to blizzard conditions and low visibility. Postpone travel on nearby mountain passes until conditions improve.
