Medford, Oregon– The National Weather Service has issued an Air Stagnation Advisory, in effect until 10 AM PST Monday, for all area valleys in Southern Oregon. Simultaneously, a Wind Advisory has been issued from 10 AM Monday to 1 AM PST Tuesday for the Bear Creek Valley and Interstate 5 corridor between Ashland and Medford.
Air Stagnation Advisory Details:
Stagnant air is expected, raising concerns about deteriorating air quality. Residents are advised to anticipate diminishing air quality, particularly in areas with significant sources of pollution. Health issues may arise for individuals with respiratory problems if precautions are not taken.
Wind Advisory Details:
Southeast winds are forecasted at 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. The advisory encompasses the Bear Creek Valley and the I-5 corridor, posing risks such as unsecured objects being blown around, potential tree limb damage, and isolated power outages.
