Major Drug Seizure Follows Traffic Stop in Linn County

Linn County, Oregon– During a routine traffic stop by an Oregon State Police trooper on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, resulted in a major drug seizure on Interstate 5, just south of Highway 34.

The incident unfolded when the trooper observed a traffic violation and initiated a stop. Upon contacting the single occupant of the vehicle, identified as Allan Alexis Medina of Puyallup, WA, the trooper obtained legal authority to conduct a search.

The search yielded a shocking discovery, as law enforcement confiscated a substantial amount of illicit substances. Among the seized items were a staggering 42 pounds of methamphetamine, seven pounds of heroin, a loaded pistol, and a small amount of cocaine.

Medina was arrested on multiple charges related to the seized contraband. The charges are expected to include possession and trafficking of controlled substances, as well as illegal firearm possession. Medina is currently in custody as the investigation unfolds.

The Oregon State Police have not released additional information about the ongoing investigation, emphasizing the sensitive nature of the case. Authorities are working to trace the origin and destination of the seized narcotics, with potential connections to broader criminal networks.


All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
