Dog of the Week: As Shelter Adoptions Resume, “Buddy” Needs a Home for Christmas

Medford Alert reached out to the Jackson County Animal Shelter for a comment regarding the reopening of the shelter to the public. Program Director Kim Casey provided the response. “We are excited to announce that as of today, we have resumed adoption of dogs from our facility. Dogs offered for adoption have been determined to be asymptomatic and will have completed any medical treatment. Each dog received a medical evaluation yesterday to confirm their current health status. Information on the specific treatment provided as well as general information on Canine Respiratory disease will be shared with potential adopters. We currently have 26 dogs that are waiting for their forever homes and more that will be eligible through the holidays.”

Medford Alert is pleased to introduce Buddy, a charming almost 2-year-old mixed breed with a loving personality.

Initially, Buddy may be a bit reserved, but once trust is established, this delightful pup transforms into an absolute gem, showering affection in the form of sweet kisses and unwavering loyalty.
