Eagle Point Couple Arrested for Multiple Sex Crimes Against a Child

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) Special Victims Unit (SVU) apprehended an Eagle Point couple on Thursday, November 16th, on charges of multiple sex crimes involving a child under the age of 12. Colton Joseph Thornton, 28, and Elizabeth Nicole Shockey-Rydall, 31, both residents of Eagle Point, now face serious legal consequences.

Thornton, the male suspect, is charged with first-degree rape, first-degree sexual penetration, first-degree sodomy, and first-degree sexual abuse.

Meanwhile, Shockey, the female suspect, faces two counts of first-degree sexual abuse.

Both individuals are currently in the Jackson County Jail, awaiting legal proceedings.

JCSO SVU detectives suspect that Thornton may have victimized other juveniles and are urging anyone with information to come forward. Concerned individuals can contact SVU Detective Jill Wenzel at (541) 770-8928.

The investigation is ongoing, with SVU detectives actively pursuing additional leads.
