In the wake of an earlier shooting incident in the 1400 block of Rogue River Highway this evening, the Grants Pass Police Department has initiated a widespread search for armed and dangerous suspects who fled the scene.
Authorities have urged residents within the vicinity to take immediate shelter and promptly contact 9-1-1 if they observe or hear anything suspicious.
Citizens are also advised to avoid the area, with Rogue River Highway temporarily closed as law enforcement officers conduct a thorough search. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternative routes until the situation is resolved.
The Grants Pass Police Department, employing K-9 units, is combing the area in pursuit of the suspects.

Authorities stress the importance of community cooperation in providing any leads that could aid in the resolution of this incident.
Update: The Grants Pass Police remarked: “The roadway is open but the investigation continues and we still ask that citizens avoid the area if possible.”
